On Thursday night, four fellow graduate students and I will be performing music by Hummel, Brahms, Obradors, Schubert, and Debussy. I'm very excited about it - the program has been in the works for over a year, and it's a joy to be performing. This stuff is the reason we are all musicologists, and I like to think that we're good enough that it's not necessarily obvious why we went the history rather than the performance track. Go us! Should be a blast.
