Culinary space

We bought a kitchen today. Literally. We went to Lowe's, where a lady named Lora had previously redesigned the space with us, tweaked things here and there, and placed the order for the cabinets and counters. We got a few deals on things - a free sink with the counter, a manufacturer's discount on the first 10 cabinets, a $5/square foot rebate on the counter - and eventually ordered the new appliances there, too. Patrick's brother came over to check the measurements the other day, and everything seemed fine, so we took the plunge. We also picked out a faucet and tile for the floor, so it was a heck of a day... It's going to be so lovely when we're done, but right now we're reeling a bit. It's a lot of money to shell out all at once; thank heaven for the Lowe's project card! :)
