Beginnings

I may as well confess from the start that I blog partly to procrastinate and partly to get the creative juices flowing. I think better while typing; things come up while I'm trying to find the perfect word, and those things lead to other things lead to some level of enlightenment, so I am mildly addicted to the process. Mind you, I'm not a consistent writer, nor a profound one, but I enjoy pouring out my thoughts, so here I am.

Who knows what will end up on these pages? Most likely reports of home, school, and work will appear, as well as family updates and random thoughts. My propensity for extreme organization in my "real" like tends not to show up in my blogging life - these posts will probably be more of a stream of consciousness. I'm looking forward to getting started.

But of course, I can't think of a single thing to start with, aside from the fact that I am currently procrastinating from my dissertation research...as usual. ;)
